Yssa Thorncall
Half-elf, Apprentice cooper, soon out of work
Defensive, quick to bristle, softens only when talking about the craft itself.
One Last Contract. She wants a big commission to prove her worth to the family before the shop changes hands.
The Signed Papers. She wants someone to confirm the rumor about the sale before she's blindsided by it publicly.
Appearance
Barely an adult, restless energy barely contained, clothes patched at every seam. Hands already calloused beyond her years.
Secret
Her uncle has already signed the shop over to that cousin — she'll learn of it at the worst possible moment.
Quirks
Sharpens tools that don't need sharpening when anxious
Refuses charity even when starving
Personality traits
Fiercely proud despite poverty
Out of her depth in family politics
Ideal
Her worth is in her hands, not her family's name.
Bond
The cooperage her family has run for three generations, now being sold out from under her.
Flaw
Is being replaced by a cousin with better connections and refuses to see it coming.
