Grudgewrought Torc
wondrous item (torc), rare
A twisted band of woven metal thread, its pattern echoing a script no scholar can place. It sits cold and ill-fitting no matter who wears it.
Ancient Ward. You have resistance to necrotic damage while wearing the torc.
Grudging Power. Once per long rest, cast bless without expending a spell slot, but you are not included among the targets.
Drawback
The torc's dislike is palpable: you have disadvantage on Charisma (Persuasion) checks made to convince others the item is yours by right.
History
Recovered from a burial mound whose script predates every known tongue in the region; every wearer since has described the same cold indifference.
