The Teapot Grove
Enchanted Forest Glade, site
Steam curls between silver birches, carrying the scent of chamomile and burnt sugar. Porcelain teapots the size of melons dangle from every branch, clinking softly like wind chimes when the breeze passes. Underfoot, the moss squelches with a warmth no forest floor should hold, and somewhere close a kettle is whistling though you see no fire at all.
Drinking three or more different grove-teas in one day forces a Constitution save or the drinker's size, voice, or color randomly and permanently shifts until remove curse is cast.
Landmarks
The Steeping Stone. A flat boulder in the grove's center, perpetually wet with spilled tea. Sitting on it and speaking a wish aloud causes a random teapot nearby to fill with a drink that grants a minor magical effect (DM's choice, akin to a potion of minor benefit) for 1 hour.
The Whistling Kettle Tree. An ancient oak whose hollow trunk shrieks like a kettle when the wind blows. Plugging the hollow with cloth silences it and causes a hidden drawer in its roots to pop open, containing whatever the last person left behind.
The Sugarcube Cairn. A small pile of white cubes that are not sugar but stone, though they dissolve in liquid exactly as sugar would. Eating one before drinking grove-tea doubles the duration of its magical effect for that person only.
Distinguishing features
Teapots grow from the trees like fruit, refilling themselves nightly with different brews
The ground is warm to the touch and smells faintly of biscuits
No open flame exists anywhere in the grove, yet everything steams and simmers
Inhabitants
Thistlebrew, a tea-brewing pixie who considers herself the grove's innkeeper. Fussy and hospitable, but deeply offended if guests refuse to drink
A trio of animated teacups (use dancing item stat block equivalent, treat as animated objects) that patrol the grove refilling empty pots. Mindless and harmless unless a teapot is stolen, then hostile
Secret
Beneath the Steeping Stone lies a buried teapot of black iron; whoever pours from it once per day may ask it one yes-or-no question, answered truthfully by a bound spirit trapped inside since the grove's founding.
